Volkhart Max

Max Volkhart was a genre painter born in Düsseldorf on 17 October 1848. He died in the same city on 11 February 1935. Max was the son of the historical painter Georg Wilhelm Volkhart. He was also a student at the Academy of Düsseldorf from 1865 to 1870 and of Edward von Gebhardt until 1874.
