Walter Leistikow (25 October 1865 - 24 July 1908) was a German artist from Bromberg (Bydgoszcz). Märkischer See bei Sonnenuntergang, painting by Walter Leistikow (1895). After having been dismissed by the Academy in Berlin for lack of talent, he studied with Hermann Eschke and the Norwegian painter Hans Fredrik Gude.
