(1851, Peru-1912). He painted portraits, beauties, gardens, ships and nudes and genre scenes. went to Paris to attend classes given by Jules Noel, Henri Lehmann and Gabriel Gerrier at the Ecole des Beaus-Arts. Lynch's genre scenes are handled with a fin-de-siecle elegance. He took part in the Paris Salon from 1880, receiving a bronze medal in 1890, a first class medal in 1892 and a gold medal at the 1900 Exposition Universelle.
